Professional Experience
Kristen Beer, MSN, RN, APN-C, grew up around the Jersey Shore, attending MAST on Sandy Hook, where she met her future husband, Michael Gilinsky. They have been married for 14 years and have two boys who keep them busy at the beach and in sports.
She started out as a Meridian Health PCA in 2006 after her mother was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, which inspired her passion for oncology. Kristen grew within the Meridian system and worked directly with their physicians on hospital units. After graduating with her RN, she worked with adult-geriatric patients in the 4 North acute care unit at Ocean Medical Center from 2008 until 2014.
She graduated with her MSN from Monmouth University in 2013 and earned her Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner certification. She began practicing in Hematology and Oncology in 2014 in Freehold, NJ, before transitioning to palliative care through the HMH family from 2018 to 2020. She joined Atlantic Hematology Oncology Associates in 2020 and has enjoyed working alongside the best physicians in the region for the past six years.
